RISE Utah’s After School Program: Building Confidence from Day One
For many Utah families, the after school hours are just as important for growth and learning as the school day itself. At RISE Services, Inc. Utah, our after school program (AIM) is designed to help every student discover their strengths, practice life skills, and thrive in a supportive, inclusive setting.
Fun, Safe Spaces for Growth and Friendship
At RISE Services, Inc. Utah, we offer after school programs that are both safe and engaging. Our locations across Utah are led by a passionate team trained in supporting individuals with IDD when it comes to building social skills, life skills, and fostering community involvement. We understand that after a day in the classroom, students want to unwind, connect with friends, and learn in a way that doesn’t feel like “more school.” That’s why our AIM program focuses on creating an active social atmosphere where laughter, creativity, and growth happen naturally.
AIM isn’t about checking another box or replicating a classroom environment. Instead, students participate in hands-on activities, group outings, and opportunities designed to encourage independence, boost confidence, and help them practice valuable life skills. Our team provides behavioral support and mentoring, guiding each participant to try new experiences and make lasting friendships.
Continuity, Accessibility, and Community Connections
We know how important it is for families to find a program that fits their needs. That’s why AIM extends the benefits of our summer camp into the school year, offering a seamless transition where social connections and learned skills continue to blossom. After school, participants spend time in both our Opportunity Centers and out in the community, engaging in recreational and educational activities tailored to their interests and needs.
Each location offers AIM on varied days and times, with sessions typically lasting three to four hours. AIM is open to all students under 22 seeking support and connection in a community where the program is offered. Transportation is available, making our after school program even more accessible.
