Residential Homes
RISE residential homes offer comprehensive, around-the-clock care for two to five adults in a residential setting. Those who are best served by a residential home setting are adults who require intensive support and a high level of structure and guidance. Many of our residential home residents have been diagnosed with a developmental disability as well as one or more mental health disorders.
Rather than trying to force a predetermined solution on each resident, we design the residential setting around their needs first. We take the time necessary to learn each person’s needs, preferences, and background before moving them into the home, ensuring a smooth and successful transition.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
RISE Residential Homes, often called group homes, are community-based, shared living environments designed for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). These homes provide a safe and supportive atmosphere where residents live with peers while receiving 24-hour professional care. Each resident has their own space and privacy, but also participates in the shared responsibilities and social life of the household, promoting a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle.
At RISE Services, Inc., we follow a “Community First” philosophy. Residents in our Utah homes are active participants in their local neighborhoods. We provide transportation and staff support for a variety of community outings, including grocery shopping, attending local events, visiting parks, and participating in hobbies or employment. This ensures that every individual has the opportunity to build social connections and feel a sense of belonging in their community.
All RISE Residential Homes, sometimes called group homes, provide 24/7 supervision by trained Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). Staffing ratios are carefully determined based on the specific medical, behavioral, and personal care needs of the residents within each home. These ratios are determined with the Support Coordinator and RISE internal teams. Our team is trained in person-centered support and safety protocols to ensure that every resident is supported in a way that respects their dignity while prioritizing their health and safety.
Our residential homes are primarily designed for individuals with developmental disabilities who require consistent, daily support in a community setting. Most residents utilize funding through the Utah Division of Services for People with Disabilities (DSPD). We also work with families on private pay options. We encourage you to contact your DSPD support coordinator or our local Utah office to discuss current openings.
Our goal is to empower residents to become as independent as possible. Our staff provides hands-on training and support for essential daily life skills, including meal planning and preparation, personal hygiene, household maintenance, budgeting, employment skills, and social communication. These skill-building goals are customized for each individual through a person-centered plan, ensuring that we are working toward their personal growth and autonomy.
